How To Bid

On the Web Site: Once you have selected the calf(s) you would like to bid on do the following:

  1. Click on Submit Bid or Bid now and complete the form and read the User Agreement.
  2. You will need to know the number of the calf(s) you wish to place the bid on. You can find that number next to the calf(s). You can only submit a bid for one calf at a time.
  3. Once you complete a Submit Bid form for each calf of interest, you will receive an email confirmation of your bid by the next day by 9:00 AM. The email will also contain a Buyer number for any updated or other bids you wish to make. Your bid will be posted on the site with that calf as “current bid” along with your buyer number.
  4. It is important that you provide a telephone number where you can be reached on Sunday.  We will only make one attempt to contact you and then move on to the next bidder.


It is important you view the "User Agreement" when bidding over the web. This agreement is binding
when you click on agree.  It provides the terms of the sale and use of this site for bidding. 

You must be over 18 to place a bid over the site. All bids

are subject to verification of age and funds availibility.

Web site Bids will be accepted until September 5, 2009 at midnight EST.
After that all bids will be handled by phone or at the farm.

Bids are accepted in $50, $100 increments only.


Over the Phone: Beginning August 23, 2009 you may call to place a bid on a calf.
The number(s) to call are: (740) 503-5206 or (740) 569-4997.

  1. You will need to know the number of the calf(s) you wish to place the bid on. You can find that number next to the calf(s).
  2. You will be asked to supply some basic information and receive a buyer number for any updated or other bids you wish to make.
  3. Your bid will be posted on the site with that calf’s number as “current bid” along with your buyer number.
  4. If you bid over the phone it is important to provide a number where you can be reached on sale day.  We will only make one attempt to contact you by phone then we will move on to the next bidder.

Bids will be accepted until 3:00 PM EST on September 5, 2009.


At the farm:
Beginning at 11 AM all current bids from the website, phone and in person will be posted on a board at the farm. If you would like to place a bid at the farm on September 6th, 2009, until 3pm:

  1. You will need to know the number of the calf(s) you wish to place the bid on.
  2. You will be asked to supply some basic information and receive a buyer number for any updated or other bids you wish to make.
  3. Your bid will be posted on the board with that calf as “current bid” along with your buyer number.


Bids will be accepted over the phone or at the farm until 3:00 PM EST on September 6th, 2009.

AT 3:00 PM WE WILL BEGIN "BIDDING OFF" TWO CALVES EACH HALF HOUR UNTIL ALL CALVES ARE SOLD.

Calves can be removed once the bidding is complete or you can make arranagements to have your purchase kept for up to
48 hours after the sale. We do not make trucking arrangements, however we will assist where possible.  We have contacts for different haulers we can provide you depending on where the calves are going.

All payment for purchases is due immediately upon the successfull bid and before any cattle leave the premises.

We can accept, Cash, Check, Wire Transfers.  All funds are payable directly to the sellers.

We can hold your purchase at the farm for 48 hours after the sale.  Further arrangments must be made directly with the seller.
